Windows 7 graphical user interface is slow
This video shows the slow pace of the new Windows 7.
Use the Windows Display Driver Model in both Vista and 7 do not include equipment for accelerated 2D functionality and to provide graphics that were created by GDI GDI and faster than Windows XP.
Microsoft has chosen to make the programs because they found it very difficult to combine the new with the old graphics engine. If you want to learn more, read this: http://blogs.msdn.com/directx/archive ...
GDI and dozens of functions are: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libra ...
Accelerated GDI acceleration in Windows 7 using the drivers WDDM 1,1 articles only these functions: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libra ...
WDDM 1,1 driver makes it mandatory that the "partial" new GDI hardware acceleration. Therefore, any driver who claims that 1.1 is already much faster than ever before.
Too bad, and I based the results on the WDDM 1.1 (both NVIDIA and Microsoft itself).
The video shows how slow is the services.msc window, and drawing objects to him, but he is not alone. Rs file browser is also much slower than it was in XP.

For example in the video is probably one of the applications where it is more easily spotted the problem, but there are many others that show the same behavior in different degrees depending on how the functions call the GDI.
In the meantime, we will not see better results in this area during times other than those related to improving the speed of the processor.
So that all we get. Microsoft had to include this partial GDI acceleration, and because these functions were too slow in the development of programs, but they seem to believe that the rest of them was not what .....( n is not true).
All I can say is that there is a real difference, the difference that you can meter, at least I and some others are able to feel every day use of Windows 7.
And probably a lot of people are blind-date and do not want to accept that there are problems with the new Microsoft and exaggerated.
